Dow Jones shares: Dow Jones trades flat with a negative bias ahead of US Fed meet

Dow Jones and Nasdaq opened flat on Wednesday on optimism over a bumper coronavirus stimulus package, although weak airline stocks and dismal retail sales data capped gains.

The S&P 500 opened by 1.97 points lower, or 0.05%, at 3,692.65. The Nasdaq Composite fell 6.98 points, or 0.05%, to 12,588.63 at the opening bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.23 points, or 0.04%, at the open to 30,185.08.
