US stocks opened lower on Monday as a new strain of the coronavirus in Britain raised fears of further economic disruptions.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 155.05 points, or 0.51%, at the open to 30,024.02.
The S&P 500 opened lower by 32.13 points, or 0.87%, at 3,677.03. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 77.49 points, or 0.61%, to 12,677.74 at the opening bell.
