Overall, 32 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 18 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, ONGC, Axis Bank, Indian Oil Corp and SBI Life were among top gainers, while Infosys, Nestle India, Shree Cements, Wipro and Grasim Industries were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 275.67 points up at 46719.85. Traders were seen piling up position in Glass, Diversified, IT Enabled Services, Miscellaneous and Gas & Petroleum sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Learning & Education, Agro Processing, General and Trading sectors.
