Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Cummins India, Ganesh Housing Corporation, JK Paper, Jyothy Labs, Orchid Pharma, ADF Foods, Salasar Techno Engineering, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), TVS Motor Company and Raj Oil Mills.
Overall, 27 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 23 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, M&M, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and BPCL were among top gainers, while Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, Hind. Unilever, TCS and Dr. Reddy’s were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 126.26 points up at 47000.62. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, General, Metals – Non Ferrous, Mining and Metals – Ferrous sectors, while selling were visible in Consumer Durables, Miscellaneous, Cables, Tea / Coffee and Beverages – Alcoholic sectors.
