NMDC: The state-owned mining major said its consolidated net profit jumped 53 per cent to Rs 2,108 crore for the quarter ended in December. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,375 crore during the same quarter a year ago, NMDC said in a BSE filing.
AstraZeneca Pharma India: The drug maker reported a 21 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 21.05 crore for the quarter ended in December. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 26.70 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Hindustan Zinc: The company said it has entered into a pact with Swedish mining gear maker Epiroc’s India arm to explore the possibility of introducing electric vehicles in underground mining.
Essar Shipping: The company said its consolidated net loss widened to Rs 181.88 crore in the third quarter ended December 2020. The company had reported a loss of Rs 95.29 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing.
GE Power India: The company reported 65 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 35.09 crore for December quarter 2020-21. The net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 100.81 crore.
