Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: ABB India, Ambuja Cements, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Equitas Small Finance Bank, GAIL (India), GIC Housing Finance, Happiest Minds Technologies, Honeywell Automation,
, Motherson Sumi Systems and Vedanta.
Overall, 21 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 29 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, GAIL, ONGC, Indian Oil Corp, Coal India Ltd and Asian Paints were among top gainers, while ICICI Bank, Shree Cements, Kotak Bank, Eicher Motors and HDFC were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 336.60 points down at 51367.23. Traders were seen piling up position in Gas & Petroleum, Diversified, Mining, Services and Trading sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Cables, Auto, Airlines and IT – Hardware sectors.
