(up 12.71 per cent), Bank of India (up 9.98 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 8.6 per cent) and Info Edge (India) (up 8.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 3.39 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (down 2.43 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (down 2.26 per cent), Vodafone Idea (down 2.19 per cent) and Muthoot Finance (down 2.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.85 per cent up at 20408.66 around 02:46PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 63.75 points at 15145.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 299.07 points at 51404.76.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
