NEW DELHI: Soybean prices on Thursday fell by Rs 19 to Rs 4,872 per quintal in futures market as participants cut down their positions on weak spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean contracts for March delivery fell Rs 19, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 4,872 per quintal with an open interest of 1,95,985 lots.
Soybean for April delivery went down by Rs 21, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 4,863 per quintal with an open interest of 53,095 lots.
The fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly due to reduction of exposure by participants, marketmen said.
