Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Aditya Birla Capital, CDSL, Happiest Minds Technologies, Hindustan Foods, Marico, OnMobile Global, Sterlite Technologies, Torrent Power, Supreme Industries, Vedanta, VA Tech Wabag and Sundram Fasteners.
Overall, 9 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 41 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, ONGC and Adani Ports SEZ were among top gainers, while M&M, Tech Mahindra, ITC, Dr. Reddy’s and IndusInd Bank were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 1075.53 points down at 49814.23. Traders were seen piling up position in Metals – Ferrous, Metals – Non Ferrous, Agro Processing, Diversified and General sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Tobacco, Auto, Media & Entertainment and Airlines sectors.
