pharma stocks: Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls nearly 2%; Dr Reddy’s Lab down 4%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Pharma index was trading with losses at 02:33PM (IST) on Monday.

While Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (down 3.96 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 3.26 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 2.83 per cent), Alkem Laboratories (down 2.63 per cent) and Lupin (down 1.24 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.73 per cent down at 12133.2 around 02:33PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 283.90 points at 14697.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 1057.99 points at 49831.77.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda and Central Bank Ind were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hind Copper, Vaibhav Global, Ratnamani Metal, Aditya Birla Capital and Varun Beverages hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Sanwaria Consumer Ltd., Silly Monks Entertainment Ltd. and Marine Electricals (India) Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
