Bank stocks: Stock market update: Bank stocks mixed; IndusInd Bank rises nearly 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:29PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (up 2.61 per cent) , Federal Bank (up 2.38 per cent) ,

(up 2.08 per cent) , (up 1.46 per cent) and IDFC Bank (up 1.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 3.38 per cent) ,

(down 1.95 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent up at 35262.65 around 01:29PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.35 points at 14761.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 227.74 points at 49972.06.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, Tata Motors, ONGC and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hindustan Copper, Tanla Solutions, Hindustan Foods, ABB Power Product and JSPL hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Sanwaria Consumer Ltd., Silver Touch Technologies Ltd., Marine Electricals (India) Ltd., Globe Textiles (India) Ltd., Mask Investments Ltd., Shradha Infraprojects Ltd., Thomas Scott (India) Ltd. and Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
