Smallcap stocks: Stock market update: SmallCap stocks rise; IIFL Securities surges 20%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading higher at 02:53PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of IIFL Securities (up 19.98 per cent), Manali Petrochemicals (up 19.92 per cent), Dredging Corporation of India (up 16.22 per cent), Religare Enterprises (up 13.5 per cent) and Nava Bharat Ventures (up 11.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Zuari Agro (down 6.74 per cent), Asian Granito India (down 5.9 per cent), Himadri Speciality Chemicals (down 5.66 per cent), Hindustan Foods (down 5.0 per cent) and Tanla Platforms (down 5.0 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.7 per cent up at 19945.67 around 02:53PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 112.65 points at 14820.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 262.18 points at 50013.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Bosch, YES Bank, Central Bank Ind and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of MMTC, Hind Copper, IIFL Finance, Rain Industries and Redington hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Chandrima Mercantiles, Sanwaria Consumer, Interactive Financial Services, Ontic Finserve, Shree Ganesh Elastoplast, Kaiser Corporation, Integra Capital Management, Misquita Engineering, Mega Nirman & Industries and Coral Newsprints hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
