52-week high: Stock market update: 169 stocks hit 52-week highs on BSE

Benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 1627.54 points down at 49411.77 while NSE Nifty index was trading 475.50 points down at 14621.85 on Friday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on BSE were: ACC, Arvind, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Dalmia Bharat, Hindustan Copper, Eveready Industries, Kennametal India, NBCC (India), NMDC, Tata Chemicals, Vedanta, ABB Power Products and The Ramco Cements.

Overall, 1 stock were trading in the green in the 30 pack index Sensex, while 29 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy’s, Nestle India, NTPC and Divi’s Labs were among top gainers, while M&M, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 1627.54 points down at 49411.77. Traders were seen piling up position in Irrigation & Allied Services, Diversified, Fertilisers, Trading and Electric/Electronics sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Miscellaneous, NBFC, Banks and Term Lending Institutions sectors.
