While Lupin (down 2.37 per cent), Cipla (down 1.82 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 1.82 per cent), Biocon (down 1.58 per cent) and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (down 1.23 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.22 per cent down at 12090.8 around 02:54PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 78.00 points at 15034.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 346.68 points at 50787.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BPCL, BHEL, YES Bank and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Can Fin Homes, SBI Life, Adani Power, Blue Dart Exp and Godrej Industries hit their fresh 52week high in today’s trade, while B C Power Controls Ltd., Shrenik Ltd. and Marine Electricals (India) Ltd. hit fresh 52week low in trade.
