Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 3.55 per cent) , Prestige Estates Projects (down 2.56 per cent) , DLF (down 2.11 per cent) , Phoenix Mills (down 1.98 per cent) and Sobha (down 1.87 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Oberoi Realty (up 4.36 per cent) was the sole gainer.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.16 per cent down at 345.3 around 02:50PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 175.50 points at 14855.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 649.25 points at 50142.83.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Power, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Poly Medicure, Vaibhav Global, Indian Energy Exchange, Orchid Pharma and Welspun India hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Shrenik Ltd., B C Power Controls Ltd., Rajvir Industries Ltd., Ahimsa Industries Ltd., Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd. and Marine Electricals (India) Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
