sensex: Sensex tanks! But these stocks gain 10% or more

NEW DELHI: Domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, were trading in the red on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Nahar Poly Film ( 19.96 per cent) , Odyssey Tech ( 19.87 per cent) , CL Educate ( 17.48 per cent) , AGI Infra Ltd. ( 17.26 per cent) , Nahar Capital ( 17.14 per cent) , HPL Electric Power ( 16.45 per cent) ,

( 16.39 per cent) , Raw Edge Industrial ( 13.16 per cent) , Meghmani Organics ( 13.13 per cent) and Empire Industries ( 10.95 per cent) rallied over 10 per cent.

The 30-share Sensex was trading 778.92 points down at 50013.16 on Monday, while the 50-share Nifty index was trading 219.1 points down at 14811.85.

In the Nifty 50 index, 9 stocks were trading in the green, while 39 stocks were in the red.

Stocks such as Indian Energy Exch, Vaibhav Global, Welspun India, Orchid Pharma , Linde India, Orient Electric, 3M India, Intellect Design, Vardhman Textiles and Delta Corp hit their fresh 52-week high in today’s trade.

However, Home First Finance Company India, Heranba Industries and Nureca touched their new 52-week low in trade.
