Shares of Prestige Estates Projects (down 4.4 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (down 2.1 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.86 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.52 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Sobha (up 4.24 per cent), Omaxe (up 0.48 per cent), DLF (up 0.21 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.57 per cent down at 345.95 around 02:58PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 12.60 points at 14942.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 78.74 points at 50473.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
