Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Enterprises, Grasim Industries, Adani Green Energy, Persistent Systems, Atul Ltd, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance, NRB Industrial Bearings, Likhitha Infrastructure, Nilkamal, Orchid Pharma, Orient Electric and Prabhat Dairy.
Overall, 27 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 23 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 289.70 points down at 49568.54. Traders were seen piling up position in Shipping, Airlines, IT Enabled Services, Diversified and Cables sectors, while selling were visible in Plastics, Infrastructure, Consumer Durables, Services and Auto sectors.
