ETMarkets’ Investors’ Guide: Post FY21’s magic returns, how will domestic equities fare in FY22?

Welcome to ETMarkets’ Investors Guide, a show about asset classes, market trends, and investment opportunities. This is Sabari Saran.

FY21 was a comeback year for value plays such as PSUs, metal and utility stocks. The year saw the benchmark indices soar 70 per cent, but many value plays delivered multifold returns for this period.

Today, as we enter FY22 , investors are wondering which theme may work for them, as India is witnessing a second wave of Covid.
We caught up with value investor Abhishek Basumallick, who also heads equity advisory at www.intelsense.in, to know his views on the opportunities the market can throw up in what looks like another year of deep uncertainty for the markets.

Welcome to the show, sir.
