Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports & SEZ, CDSL, Infosys, Jindal Steel & Power, Likhitha Infrastructure, NRB Industrial Bearings, Tata Chemicals, Tata Steel, Poly Medicure, Vedanta and euland Laboratories.
Overall, 38 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 12 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ports SEZ, UPL , Asian Paints, Tata Consumer and JSW Steel were among top gainers, while Grasim Industries, Hero MotoCorp, RIL, HCL Tech and UltraTech Cements were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 209.78 points up at 49369.10. Traders were seen piling up position in Shipping, Aquaculture, Agro Processing, Metals – Ferrous and Industrial Equipment sectors, while selling were visible in Beverages – Alcoholic, Airlines, Tourism & Hospitality, Banks and Trading sectors.
