Avenue Supermart shares down 0.36% as Sensex falls

Shares of Ltd. fell 0.36 per cent to Rs 2838.15 in Tuesday’s session as of 12:46PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 127.34 points lower at 49031.98.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 3328.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1900.0 on NSE. Around 42817 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:46PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 2879.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 2879.0 and Rs 2824.4 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 193.27, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 14.77 and price to book value (PB) of 12.87, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 11.74.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of April 06, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 10.09 per cent and 6.07 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 7587.32 crore, up 41.6 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 5358.37 crore and up 11.33 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 446.97 crore for the latest quarter, up 16.39 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
