HPCL shares drop 0.53% as Sensex falls

Shares of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded at Rs 233.8 on BSE at 01:59PM (IST) on Tuesday, down 0.53 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 163.3 and a high of Rs 259.2.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 4.67 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 50.15 per share and 0.94 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 34,170 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:59PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 35411.06 crore and is part of the Oil Refining & Marketing industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , up 26.89 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 70.03 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 237.1 and Rs 233.5.


Promoter/FII Holding
Promoters held 51.57 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2020. FII and MF ownership in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. stood at 15.92 per cent and 15.45 per cent, respectively.
