HPCL Stock Price: HPCL shares drop 2.58% as Sensex falls

Shares of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded at Rs 228.0 on BSE at 10:47AM (IST) on Monday, down 2.58 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 163.3 and a high of Rs 259.2.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 4.55 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 50.15 per share and 0.94 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 99,936 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:47AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 34489.72 crore and is part of the Oil Refining & Marketing industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , up 9.62 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 74.89 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 232.0 and Rs 225.6.

Promoters held 51.57 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2020. FII and MF ownership in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. stood at 15.92 per cent and 15.45 per cent, respectively.
