Motherson Sumi stock price: Motherson Sumi shares up 2.6% as Nifty gains

NEW DELHI: Shares of Systems Ltd. traded 2.6 per cent up in Friday’s trade at 01:07PM (IST). Around 507,967 shares changed hands on the counter.

The counter opened at Rs 209.8 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 214.75 and Rs 207.1, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 238.2 and a 52-week low of Rs 64.5.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd. stood at Rs 67611.37 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials

The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 17157.63 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, up 14.29 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 15012.49 crore and up 13.84 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 15071.79 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 798.38 crore, up 195.14 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern

As of 31-Dec-2020, DIIs held 10.79 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 16.09 per cent and the promoters 33.96 per cent.

Valuation ratio

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 132.86 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.71. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
