LIC Housing share price: LIC Housing shares gain 3.19% as Sensex rises

Shares of Finance Ltd. traded 3.19 per cent up at Rs 450.0 at 11:12AM (IST) on Tuesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 668.68 points to 50249.41. The scrip had closed at Rs 436.1 in the previous session.

The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 487.5 and Rs 219.35, respectively.

As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 11:12AM (IST) stood at 11:12AM shares with turnover at Rs 2.92 crore.

At the prevailing price, shares of the company trades at 8.21 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 54.78 per share and 0.65 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.33.


Shareholding Details

Promoters held 40.31 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs owned 28.2 per cent and DIIs 16.82 per cent.
