Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Wednesday ahead of closely watched economic data this week, while the latest leg of a surge in so-called “meme stocks” stood out in early moves.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 50.02 points, or 0.14%, in early deals to 34,625.33.
The S&P 500 rose 8.38 points, or 0.20%, to 4,210.42.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 34.68 points, or 0.25%, to 13,771.16.
