The request for qualification (RfQ) applications for the project opened on January 15 and these nine firms have been shortlisted for the request for proposal (RfP) stage, which will be opened soon.
The project is being developed by the Indian Railways Station Redevelopment Corporation (IRSDC) under the ministry of railways.
“As the next step RFP (Request for Proposal) will be called by IRSDC shortly from the nine shortlisted bidders,” IRSDC said in a statement on Tuesday.
On 15th January 2021, IRSDC opened the RFQ applications of CSMT Railway station and received response from ten developers despite the current COVID19 scenario.
The other developers qualified for the project include ISQ Asia Infrastructure Investments,
Transmission Ltd., Moribus Holdings Pte, Ltd. and BIF IV Infrastructure Holding DIFC Pvt. Ltd.
The Applications were evaluated in accordance with the financial capacity, which required a minimum net worth of the company at Rs 821 cr at the close of preceding financial year or, minimum ACI of Rs 821 cr at the close of the preceding financial year (for alternate investment funds or foreign investment funds.
The selected bidder at the request for proposal (RfP) stage will take up the redevelopment of the Railway station and commercial development of the surrounding railway land on leasehold basis upto 60 years for commercial development and upto 99 years for residential development on selected plots, along with operation and maintenance of the station for 60 years on concession basis.
Concessionnaires will also levy a user charge along the lines of user development fee at airports, which will be a continuous source of revenue to the concessionaire.
