Dow Jones shares: Dow Jones falls at the open as focus shifts to Fed meet

The S&P 500 opened near an all-time high on Monday as focus shifted to the Federal Reserve’s meeting this week, where the central bank is expected to maintain its accommodative stance on monetary policy.

The S&P 500 fell 4.9 points, or 0.09%, at the open to 4,243.35.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 89.1 points, or 0.26%, at the open to 34,390.43, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 40.0 points, or 0.29%, to 14,109.79 at the opening bell.
