Sona Comstar IPO: Sona Comstar to list on June 24: Here’s how to check allotment status

NEW DELHI: Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar), whose Rs 5,500 crore IPO was sold from June 14 to June 16, has finalised its basis of allotment and the initialisation of refunds is likely to begin today.

The IPO, which was sold in the price band of Rs 285-291 per share, received bids for 24.44 crore shares against the IPO size of 10.49 crore equity shares.

The portion reserved for retail investors was subscribed 1.61 times, while the qualified institutional buyer (QIB) category was subscribed 3.54 times.

The high net worth investor quota was subscribed 40 per cent of the shares reserved.

A play on the EV (electric vehicle) theme, Sona BLW is a consistent performer, with industry-leading margins, return on equity (ROE) and return on capital employed (ROCE). Analysts mostly had ‘subscribe with long term gains’ rating on the issue as the asking valuations appeared rich.

Investors who bid for the issue can check the subscription status on the online portal of KFintech Private Limited, the registrar to the IPO.

Bidders who did not get allotment in the IPO may see the initialisation of refunds today. Others, who have been allotted shares may see credit of shares in the demat account by Wednesday.

1) Visit
https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx

2) Under the issue type, click Equity

3) Under the issue name, select Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited in the drop box

4) Write the application number

5) Add the PAN card ID

6) Click on ‘I am not a Robot’ and hit submit.

https://kcas.kfintech.com/ipostatus/), the registrar to the issue. The registrar is a Sebi-registered entity, qualified to act as such and which electronically processes all applications, and carries out the allotment process as per the prospectus.

The registrar is responsible for complying with the timelines for updating the electronic credit of shares to successful applicants, dispatching, and uploading of refunds, and attending to all investor-related queries after the issue is completed.

2) Select the IPO in the drop box

3) You may be required to select either one of the three modes: Application number, Client ID or PAN ID

4) In application type, select between ASBA and non-ASBA

5) Enter the details of the mode you selected in Step 2

6) For security purpose, fill the captcha accurately
