Dow Jones share price: S&P 500, Nasdaq hit record highs after strong June jobs data; Dow Jones up over 30 pts

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq hit record highs at the open on Friday after a better-than-expected monthly employment report as companies raised wages and offered incentives to draw millions of reluctant unemployed Americans back into the labor force.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 33.84 points, or 0.10%, to 34,667.37 in early deals.

The S&P 500 rose 13.19 points, or 0.31%, to 4,333.13, after hitting a record high of 4,334.01.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 74.74 points, or 0.51%, to 14,597.11, after clocking a record high of 14,607.83.
