Petrol prices rose Monday across metros while diesel prices dropped marginally after remaining unchanged a day earlier.
Diesel prices were cut by 14-16 paise almost after three months while petrol continued its upward climb with prices rising between 28-30 paise.
In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 101.19 per litre while diesel is priced at Rs 89.72 a litre.
In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 107.20 and diesel costs Rs 97.29.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised daily by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) based on international crude oil prices and exchange rate.
Prices vary from state to state depending on the extent of local taxes.
