Berger Paints share price: Berger Paints shares up 0.29% as Sensex rises

Shares of (India) Ltd. gained 0.29 per cent to Rs 842.5 in Tuesday’s session as of 12:10PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 327.84 points higher at 52700.53.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 859.8 and a 52-week low of Rs 493.15 on NSE. Around 18668 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:10PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 842.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 846.0 and Rs 838.05 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 113.76, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 7.41 and price to book value (PB) of 18.16, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 21.31.


Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 74.98 per cent stake in the company as of July 13, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 11.24 per cent and 0.82 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 81875.32 crore, the company operates in the Paints/Varnishes industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 2041.09 crore, down 4.34 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 2133.79 crore and down 48.82 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 208.59 crore for the latest quarter, up 101.11 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
