NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 51.91 points up at 52821.64 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Alankit (down 10.31 per cent), Tiaan Ayurvedic & He (down 9.96 per cent), S R Industries (down 8.42 per cent), Sharika Enterprises (down 7.88 per cent) and Kellton Tech (down 6.98 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks traded in the green, while 21 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 12.85 points up at 15825.2.
On the BSE, CHD Chemicals Ltd., Radhagobind Commerci, GCM Sec, RJ Shah Co and Rander Corp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shyam Century Ferro, Conart Engg, Alicon Castalloy, Ganges Securities and Steel Strips touched their fresh 52-week highs.
