IDFCBANK (up 1.59 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.62 per cent), RBLBANK (up 0.4 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.37 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bandhan Bank (down 3.08 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (down 1.72 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.14 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 0.66 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.55 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.35 per cent at 35780.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.75 points at 15924.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 10.37 points at 53148.48.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
