Shares of Wipro (up 0.32 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.15 per cent) and MPhasis (up 0.05 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies (down 3.34 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (down 2.98 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.82 per cent), Infosys (down 1.6 per cent) and Coforge (down 0.91 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 1.07 per cent down at 29400.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 0.8 points at 15923.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 18.79 points at 53140.06.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.

Shares of Angel Broking, Sutlej Textiles, Datamatics Glob, GeeCee Ventures and Cyient hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd. and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
