NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 13.23 crore), Sun Tech Over (numbers of share traded: 5.25 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 5.15 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 3.16 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 2.30 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 2.02 crore), GTL Infra (numbers of share traded: 1.75 crore), Vikas Multicorp (numbers of share traded: 1.48 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 1.36 crore) and NALCO (numbers of share traded: 1.03 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 171.0 points down at 15752.4, while BSE Sensex ended down 586.66 points at 52553.4.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd. (down 3.37 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 2.77 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 2.72 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (down 2.18 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.11 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
