Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 2.55 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.7 per cent), Wipro (up 0.29 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.12 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Infosys (down 0.93 per cent), MPhasis (down 0.86 per cent), Coforge (down 0.35 per cent), Tata Consultancy (down 0.24 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.18 per cent at 29348.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 103.4 points at 15820.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 393.4 points at 52746.66.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, NALCO, Tata Power, YES Bank and Ibull Real Estate were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of G R Infraprojects Ltd., Clean Science & Technology Ltd., MPS Infotecnics, Archies Ltd and Pearl Global hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd., OCL Iron Steel and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
