Marico Share Price: Marico shares up 0.69% as Sensex falls

Shares of Ltd. gained 0.69 per cent to Rs 529.25 in Tuesday’s session as of 11:27AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 473.78 points lower at 52079.62.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 549.5 and a 52-week low of Rs 333.3 on NSE. Around 26553 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:27AM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 533.4 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 533.65 and Rs 527.35 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 58.28, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 9.07 and price to book value (PB) of 11.73, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 36.17.


Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 59.61 per cent stake in the company as of July 20, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 24.98 per cent and 1.81 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 68243.46 crore, the company operates in the Personal Care industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 2041.0 crore, down 4.89 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 2146.0 crore and down 33.57 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 219.0 crore for the latest quarter, up 12.89 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
