NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 10.30 crore), IDFC (number of shares traded: 5.40 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 2.59 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 2.55 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 2.34 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 2.24 crore), Visagar Polytex (number of shares traded: 2.14 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.93 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 1.55 crore) and Bank of Baroda (number of shares traded: 1.22 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 169.2 points up at 15801.3, while BSE Sensex was up 592.67 points at 52791.18 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 3.79 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (up 3.30 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 3.00 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 2.77 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd. (up 2.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.80 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 0.63 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 0.51 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 0.48 per cent) and Cipla Ltd. (down 0.39 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
