Oracle Financial Services Software (up 2.34 per cent), MPhasis (up 2.06 per cent), Infosys (up 1.74 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 1.3 per cent) and Wipro (up 0.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mindtree (down 0.42 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.27 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.82 per cent at 29493.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 151.4 points at 15783.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 536.75 points at 52735.26.
