NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 90.66 points up at 53066.46 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jasch Ind (down 9.98 per cent), Shree Securities (down 9.30 per cent), DB Corp. (down 8.57 per cent), Alfred Herbert (down 7.73 per cent) and GPT Infraproj (down 6.63 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks traded in the green, while 20 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 28.7 points up at 15884.75.
On the BSE, Regal Entertain, Acewin Agriteck, Prism Medico, PVP Ventures Ltd. and Aneri Fincap hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Navigant Corporate A, Bambino Agro, Victory Paper, RTS Power and Premier Poly touched their fresh 52-week highs.
