Shares of DLF (up 0.91 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 0.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, SOBHA (down 3.88 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 3.09 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.56 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.8 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (down 1.11 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.73 per cent down at 394.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 78.0 points at 15746.45, while the BSE Sensex stood down 273.51 points at 52578.76.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red.
