NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 20.84 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 14.68 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 11.80 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 10.96 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 7.45 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 6.39 crore), Hindalco (numbers of share traded: 6.14 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 6.13 crore), Tata Motors (numbers of share traded: 5.77 crore) and Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 5.70 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 69.05 points up at 15778.45, while BSE Sensex ended up 209.36 points at 52653.07.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 2.39 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 2.15 per cent), ITC Ltd. (down 1.46 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.43 per cent) and Coal India Ltd. (down 1.32 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
