NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 66.23 points down at 52586.84 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Swan Energy (down 16.10 per cent), Leading Leasing Fin (down 13.28 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa (down 11.76 per cent), Motilal Oswal (down 11.02 per cent) and Krypton Ind (down 9.94 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 15.4 points down at 15763.05.
On the BSE, Relicab Cable Manufa, Munoth Fin, PVP Ventures Ltd., Shashank Traders and Prism Medico hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Riddhi Steel and Tub, Vidhi Specialty Food, FairchemSpeciality, Dhanalaxmi Roto and TPL Plastech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
