NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 81.4 points up at 52734.47 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, R J Bio Tech Lt (down 19.89 per cent), Swan Energy (down 10.36 per cent), Stellar Capital Svcs (down 9.88 per cent), Upasana Finance (down 9.67 per cent) and Kilpest India (down 9.41 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 28.7 points up at 15807.15.
On the BSE, PVP Ventures Ltd., Quantum Build-Tech, Prism Medico, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd. and Ozone World hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Riddhi Steel and Tub, FairchemSpeciality, TPL Plastech, Cineline India and R Systems Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs.
