NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 363.79 points up at 52950.63 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ind-Swift Labs (down 14.66 per cent), Abans Enterprises (down 10.04 per cent), Captain Pipes (down 9.49 per cent), Northern Spirits (down 8.89 per cent) and S R Industries (down 8.57 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 122.1 points up at 15885.15.
On the BSE, Athena Constructions, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Ashari Agencies, Infronic Sys and Shashank Traders hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Jaysynth Dyes, Dhanalaxmi Roto, Hind Oil Expl, Innovators Facade Sy and LKP Finance touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
