NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 317.65 points up at 53268.28 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Vodafone Idea (down 8.24 per cent), Inox Wind Ltd. (down 5.51 per cent), Ind-Swift Labs (down 5.33 per cent), LKP Finance (down 5.14 per cent) and Cosyn (down 5.00 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks traded in the green, while 14 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 79.5 points up at 15964.65.
On the BSE, Vodafone Idea, Chartered Cap, ANS Industries, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd. and Adjia Technologies Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Cineline India, PDS Multi&Fash, Nahar Poly Film, Ruby Mills and Jaysynth Dyes touched their fresh 52-week highs.
