NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 872.73 points up at 53823.36 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ind-Swift Labs (down 11.02 per cent), Pioneer Embroid (down 10.74 per cent), Vodafone Idea (down 10.30 per cent), Coffee Day Ent (down 9.11 per cent) and Upasana Finance (down 8.91 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 44 stocks closed in the green, while 6 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 245.6 points up at 16130.75.
On the BSE, Vodafone Idea, Shashank Traders, Munoth Fin, Chartered Cap and JLAInfraville&Shop hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Kovai Medical, Cineline India, Tarini International, Nahar Poly Film and Nahar Capital touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
