Shares of Brigade Enterprises (up 3.44 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 2.1 per cent), DLF (up 0.94 per cent), SOBHA (up 0.66 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 0.42 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty (down 2.65 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.52 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (down 1.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.26 per cent up at 418.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 245.6 points at 16130.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 872.73 points at 53823.36.
