NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 35.58 points down at 54334.19 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Vodafone Idea (down 15.75 per cent), Acrow India (down 14.61 per cent), Nava Bharat Vent. (down 13.55 per cent), Dhunseri Petrochem (down 12.89 per cent) and Jaysynth Dyes (down 12.57 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 14.65 points down at 16244.15.
On the BSE, Vodafone Idea, Atreya Petro, Gautam Gems, Bhakti Gems and Jewe and Yuranus Infrastruct hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sonata Software, Sir Shadilal, Lesha Ind, Raghav Productivity and Lotus Chocolate touched their fresh 52-week highs.
